That is a pretty long title for a post, but it is something that I wanted to share with you guys.
My band sang this song on the last night of our most recent revival with Joel Arwood, and I figured that I could muster up the courage to let you have a listen. I wrote this song a few years ago, and have been trying to fine tune it since then. Our band is called “Job’s Reply” and is full of very talented singers and musicians, of which I am the least talented. The lead vocal and piano player on this particular song is me, but I believe if someone else were doing those parts, this song would be so much better. The one gripe is that on this particular service, the soundman couldn’t make it due to a football game that his daughter had to go to, so the mix isn’t perfect, but for a smaller church, I think it comes out alright. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it anyway. I will Post the lyrics also, for those of you interested.
SURROUND ME OH GOD
I lay my life before You,
In the stillness of this place.
Seeking Your Face,
So desperate for Your Presence.
Let my prayer come before You.
Let me see Your Holy Face.
Surround Me, Oh God.
As I seek Your Face.
Cover me Lord.
With Your Mercy and Grace.
Inhabit my praise when I meet Your here.
Capture my heart, as You draw me near.
Surround me oh God.
Words by Tony Cathey

Thanks Brad! I am currently looking to make a Myspace “Music” page, but are deciding on the logo, etc. We don’t practice like we want to due to life and stuff, but we have talked about going into a local recording studio and doing a couple of things in there.
When we get all that up and running, I’ll let ya know!
again, thanks for the compliment

I agree with Chris Tomlin and Julio. This is one of the most prolific recordings of our time. Give me a call next time you are in Franklin, Tn and maybe we can hook up and discuss the future of the band. God bless.

This was truthfully an uplifting experience even without the sentiment. I think it was well written and vocals including background vocals SO Rocked! I did notice that the sax player blew a wrong note but other than that COOL!
JK about the wrong note err well maybe
I am looking forward to hearing more from this very talented and encouraging group of “seed sowers” this is truthfully “Good Stuff”.
