How about a quote from Barak Obama?

I’ve got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.

Sounds like a real family man to me.

What do you think about this man?  I was kind of on the fence about this election, to be honest with you.  I hadn’t seen any progress from Republicans on Abortion, or any other issue that I, as a Christian, hold dear.  But for Barak Obama to be so nonchalant about Abortion kind of scares me.

Take the Freedom of Choice Act for example.  You can read about it here. Here is a quote from Barak Obama on this:

“The first thing I’d do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act.  That’s the first thing that I’d do.”  – Senator Barack Obama, speaking to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, July 17, 2007

This “Act” would make it every woman’s “RIGHT” to have an abortion, and thus your tax money would be helping in the aborting of babies.  It would override state and local laws and make abortions very accesible, especially in places where abortion clinics do not exist.  This is dangerous stuff.

I think we all need to pray about this election.  I’m not saying that John McCain is God’s choice, and I’m also not saying that God doesn’t have his hand in world events either.  I believe that God is in control and that in the end his plan will be perfect, but if we can stop this kind of nonsense that goes on in politics, I feel we should try.  At the very least we should pray.

  1. It is the liberal elite - those in higher society - that are pushing to keep the right to abortions, because these are the people who have lives that they don’t want a baby to interere with. These are the people that have wanted to keep their own lives uncluttered, and now want to make sure their daughters have no interference on the way up, either. As Obama himself once said, he would support his daughters to abort his grandchildren rather than have his daughters endure the “punishment” of being mothers.

Sure lower income women have had abortions, but although the elite talk on and on about how abortions are a necessary option for lower income women, it’s not as big an issue for lower income women. Babies don’t interfere with our lives the way they do for the elite. We go ahead and have our babies - and love them.

  2. I like Obama but he is not free from faults. I am sure that Obama did not mean this. We all say things we dont mean.
