Why are many charismatics using this phraseology over and over again, year after year? If you listen to pretty much any message by these people, they will always have a revelation from God that this is the year for your Harvest, or this is the year for your miracle, or this is the year for your promotion, or this is the year for your “yada-yada”. Why can’t we be preaching Christ? Why do we need “New Revelations” Is not our purpose to Tell the World of Christ and their need for a savior?
I want you to read the words of Charles Spurgeon:
“Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you are not saved yourself. Be sure of that.”
We need to preach sound doctrine. There is nothing new to reveal that isn’t in God’s word. Man wants “NEW”. Man wants to be in the forefront of a “revival” so bad that they jump in on the first signs of men claiming it. We have seen time and time again of false revivals and false prophets with massive followings because people wanted something new. Just like the children of Israel that were tired of Manna. The modern church world is tired of God’s way.
Gods way is perfect. We need to stop being so selfish about the things of God and just seek Him and tell others about Him. This Rick Warren P.E.A.C.E. stuff has to be ignored and true evangelism must take place. Pulpit pimps and the prosperity elite have to be ignored and prayed for. We need to pray that they repent and come back to God.
If anything, I pray that this is the year for God to open up the blinded eyes of those stuck in false doctrines and following preachers just because they are on T.V. I pray that the people seek sound doctrine, instead of messages that do not allow the Holy Spirit to work among them. We are in the age of Apostasy and time is short.
