Here is video that I added some subtitles to, just to give an overview of how absolutely absurd Jesse Duplantis can be and still have a mass of followers right there with him in belief. It seems he knows that people are seeking Signs and Wonders, so he makes stuff up to give the people what they want. It isn’t just False Doctrine that this man preaches, most of it is downright lies. This clip is taken from his video, “Close Encounters of the God Kind” with the main focus of that being his trip to Heaven and God revealing a plethora (yes, I used the word plethora) of things to Jesse. The thing about it though is that a huge majority of the gnostic revelations that Jesse Duplantis received from God, were unscriptural. I’ll probably expound on that portion in a later post, or you could probably google some search terms and find where some other people have called him on it already. My point in all this is not to slam anybody, but to get people to maybe open their eyes a little bit and test EVERYTHING against the Bible.
Jesse Duplantis is very likable. He is charming, funny, and a darn good story teller, but you don’t judge anything based on the messenger. You judge the message. What I hear Jesse Duplantis and other Word of Faith teachers talking about is self. That is what most of it comes down to. What can I get here on earth. How much “stuff” can I obtain to fill the God Shaped Hole that is in all of us. It all feels good to the Flesh. God wants us to prosper, right? Again, that is another topic all together.
