It was revealed this week that the supernatural Angel that Todd Bentley has been having encounters with is no Angel at all.  In fact, his mystical “buddy” is actually a small, hairy mammal.  Phodopus campbelli, or a Hamster if you will.

Todd says he met “Emma” back in his prison days.  She belonged to an inmate that was incarcirated for the murder of 2 siblings.  Before that inmate was executed, Todd promised to take care of Emma.

“She was always amazing.  She could do all kinds of tricks.  I used to call her a circus hamster, because she was so talented.  There is this one trick that she could do with a spool of thread, it made all of the guards smile.”

Bentley says that one day Emma started talking about religious things.  She apparently told him that in order for his soul to be “sealed” he had to mark his body with Japanese mystical tattoos and receive many piercings. “She seemed so knowledgable about spiritual things,” said Bentley, “I would be laying in bed asleep and Emma would whisper in my ear one single word: ‘Bam‘.  I knew the path that I was to take after serving my time in prison.  I knew I had to tell the world about my encounters with Emma.  The problem was, I couldn’t let them know that I was talking to a Hamster.  There are people in the outside world that just wouldn’t understand.  I had to tell them that Angels were guiding me.  Then they would believe me.” And believe him the people did.  Right now Todd Bentley is getting more attention than he ever dreamed possible.  And he has his faithful pet hamster to thank.
