If you haven’t heard of the Jedi Church, don’t worry, many people haven’t.
The church is located in North Wales in the UK. They claim that the church was founded when 400,000 people claimed “Jedi” as their religion in a 2001 national census.
Their “teachings” are based on the teachings of Master Yoda, from the Star Wars Franchise. They also are involved in Easter Mystical practices such as, meditating, yoga, relaxation, and Ewok Slinging.
The followers all wear robes and practice their lightsaber skills. The hierarchy of the group is maintained through quizzes and tests, as well as how fast you can escape from a block of carbonite.
We tried to contact Darth Vader, but he was unavailable, although his assistant did tell us that Darth found the groups “lack of faith, disturbing.” The assistant later said that Darth was making plans to attend the groups annual picnic with Rick Warren and his Mega Church at Saddleback accompanied by Joel Osteen, who will be in charge of the chili cook off.

Well I suppose that there are worse ways to spend your free time but I definitely know that there are more constructive ways. Some people just need help.

I’ve seen some of the “New York Jedi” swordfighting. It isn’t bad, actually.
