After reading this story on CNN this morning I got to thinking to myself:

“Why do I care who endorses who”?

In my mind I don’t choose who I vote for based on “celebrity” shout outs.  I don’t speak for the nation, but if other people have sway on your personal beliefs and want to make sure that they do, I find that wrong.  You should vote for whomever you wish.  It’s kind of like the movie “Gangs of New York.” The politicians brought in the new immigrants that just got off the boat, and made them vote for their guy.

I think James Dobson is an alright guy.  I don’t believe everything he says, but he does have sway on people.  When he makes the statement that he might endorse McCain, his followers are more likely to, instead go with their “gut”, they will blindly follow their celebrity hero.  This goes for all “celebrities” - Conservative or Liberal.  They should just keep their opinions to themselves and keep it a personal issue who they vote for.
